Meaning: ‘May Lord Nrhari, who is pleased by the prayers offered by the best of sages, protect my memory.
May Lord Narasimha, whose eyes are the sun, and fire, protect my eyes.’ May He protect my speech and the results of my activities. Meaning: ‘Although the Lord is all-pervading, He hid Himself within a pillar. Meaning: ‘Having seated Lord Narasimhadeva upon the lotus of one’s heart, one should recite the following mantra: May Lord Narasimha, who protects all the planetary systems, protect my head.’ Garuda joyfully offers prayers with great reverence.’

One should meditate on Lord Narasimha, Lord of the universe, seated upon a golden throne.’ Meaning: ‘It bestows upon one all opulences and can give one elevation to the heavenly planets or liberation. It is most pious, vanquishes all kinds of impediments, and provides one all protection.’ Meaning: ‘I shall now recite the Narasimha-kavaca, formerly spoken by Prahlada Maharaja. In the same manner, the Narasimha Kavacham mantra act as a protective shield to safeguard the welfare of the devotees. Narasimha Kavacham Mantra is a mantra for protection from the evils of the world. The literal meaning of Kavacha is armor or breast plate that the soldiers wear during wars to protect their bodies from the deadly weapons. He is regarded as the embodiment of victory of good over evil. Narasimha who is one of the most powerful manifestations of Lord Mahavishnu, (the protector in the Hindu Triad) is known to be fierce to fight and remove all that is evil and as a result protect all his devotees from every negative aspect of life.
